If you're looking to just get back to practicing I can help you do that quickly and economically. For this axe I ground out the chips, ground a new chisel and and cleaned up the rest of the head with a few scotchbrite belts. I wouldn't use this for a competition, but it will work perfectly fine for practicing.
Hopefully this is the start of getting back into grinding. I've been very busy with grad school, coaching the local Nordic ski team and training for a few marathons that are coming up. It feels good to get an axe off the order list.

This picture highlights my favorite part of my current grinds. I like the look of the polished bit sharply transitioning to the satin finished face.

Getting back to the grind. This axe is heading off to another competitor on the Unity woodsmen's team. This is one of a few other heads I've ground and sent off to members of that team. I appreciate their support!

Framing with a chainsaw. Making the #michigantech forestry clubs new equipment shed.
A start to finish wip photo thread of me taking an old Trojan racing axe and reducing it's weight for a woman timber sports competitor.
It feels like forever since I finished an axe. At the detriment of my school work I finished up one China grind and one regrind. It's good to get back at it.

Little bit of stock saw practice and firewood processing to test my new saw. The heated handles are a game changer.

After a day full of flying I got to come back to my new (to me) toy!
